There was no public transportation on this day because the road that connects to Abatan was distrupted by a broken bridge! So we walked and walked from afternoon and finally arrived at Capoyuan at 6pm!I think we covered 10km of untarred mountain road.
The heavens however were smiling unto us, as we were offered a place to stay by an elderly couple who happened to live next to the broken bridge. Well, to be honestly truthful, it was either that or sleeping on the road side as there was no hostels whatsoever in Capuyuan.
These amazing people welcomed us into their house, offered a place to sleep and food to eat for the night, even though they didn't know anything about us at all! Talk about right out of the bible story! To top it up, the next day when we wanted to give them money, they outwardly declined and would not accept anything from us! There is still hope for kindness in this world...
