Hope is a good thing to have

“Hope” is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul
And sings the tune without the words
And never stops - at all -

And sweetest - in the Gale - is heard
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm

I’ve heard it in the chillest land
And on the strangest Sea
Yet - never - in Extremity
It asked a crumb - of me.

Emily Dickinson

There is nothing more perfect than this, to keep you going.

Love poem

Love poem for no one in particular - Mark O'Brien

Let me touch you with my words
For my hands lie limp as empty glove
Let my words stroke your hair
Slide down your back
And tickle your belly
For my hands, light and free flying as bricks
Ignore my wishes
And stubbornly refuse to carry out my quietest desires
Let my words enter your mind
Bearing torches
Admit them willingly into your being
So they may caress you gently within.

Well, what are you waiting for...watch the movie if you have never heard of this.

I think I may have read this over a thousand times and every time my eyes run through these familiar lines, a shiver runs through my soul. I think this poem is beautiful. Love, simple and real.

Isn't that what we all want in the end?
