A very good friend of mine had me watch this video. It took my breath away.
I know, I know that this is all part of Dove marketing strategies and everything, but this is real. We Are Overly Critical! From that micro-mini pore, to the non-existent pimple that "is about to erupt" or the invisible "fat" just waiting in the corner, women just have a way of feeling ugly (Do correlate with hormones). It is almost like an inborn talent.
In my field where we come across patients whose main complain is "not liking their face", it is almost difficult to ascertain as to whether the problem lies superficially on the skin, or deeper inside. There are many things surgery can change, but perception of oneself isn't one of it.
Beauty is subjective. Now this is age old, so there must be some truth in this; "beauty comes from within".
